Now that summers practically over *cries to self* and I have no more holidays booked I want to start doing more outfit posts, so here we are. As I’m a student and like to make the most of my money, I try to be conscious when I’m buying clothes to make sure I can wear them on more than one occasion- at uni, at work, in the day, on nights out etc. I basically like to get the most for my money! I mean, who doesn’t?
This below outfit is really versatile, the perfect day-night outfit. Have you ever had to go straight out for drinks or a night out without having a chance to go home and change? I know I have. Therefore this type of outfit would be my go to for this transitional time of year, as it isn’t too much for the day (can always team with a pair of tights to take off later) but is perfect for the evening as well.
The Baker Boy hat is an item which is currently really on trend so I thought I’d give it a go! I really like it and think this simple ASOS version is quite classic. I do however think this is a trend that might not be around for longer than this winter so if you want to invest get one which doesn’t break the bank. ASOS have currently sold out of the style I am wearing below but have one which is very similar for the same price see here.
Slogan tees still seem to be everywhere and this £5.99 one from Zara, they don’t currently have this on the website but similar ones are available see here, was a real bargain! I love the funny slogan ‘Calma your drama’ and the fact it’s a white t shirt with a simple font makes it easy to wear with practically anything.
The necklace I’m wearing in the above photo is from Tiffany. I was bought it for my 21st birthday and practically wear it every day! I’m sure it’ll crop up in quite a few photo’s in the future as well. See here.
You can’t go wrong with a PU leather skirt, it’s an essential piece for any wardrobe. I recently bought this one from River Island as I wanted one which was simple with a zip and button, and I found exactly what I was looking for! It was a bit more expensive than ones you can get other places but I thought it was a reasonable price for the quality. See here.
I picked up this Scuba cross body bag in the Urban Outfitters sale. I really like the fabric of this bag and the size makes it perfect for in the day but not too big for an evening bag. Unfortunately, it’s no longer available online but may be in select stores.
I love the boots I wore for this outfit. I bought them from Topshop about a year and a half ago now when this shape was just starting to come out and I haven’t felt like I’ve needed to buy another pair yet as they’ve worn so well. Having said this, I’ve seen some really nice styles in shops at the moment and now Topshop are offering 20% student discount for limited time only, I may be tempted!
This denim jacket is also a favourite of mine from Urban Outfitters, that I’ve had for a couple of years now and wear quite a lot. I bought it in the size up to make it more oversized which I really like and this particular wash of denim goes pretty well with everything! They sell this similar one currently on the website, see here.
So that’s everything! I hope you’ve enjoyed my first full outfit post and if you have any constructive feedback it would be much appreciated.
