There’s no escaping it, it’s now officially jumper season. Despite it still being pretty sunny out, it’s been starting to get a lot chillier so I’m on a mission to find some new additions for my currently small knitwear collection, to keep me warm and cosy going into the winter months.
For anyone that works in retail, you’ll know what it’s like when all of the new lines come in and you automatically see something that you know is just you! On this occasion I’d been eyeing up this ridiculously fluffy, cosy looking, white turtle neck jumper which I can only describe as reminding me of a polar bear, perfect! After waiting a couple of weeks for payday, I just couldn’t resist buying it. Now I’ve got pretty sensitive skin and anything containing wool for instance just makes me scratch and itch away, making me feel really uncomfortable. So for knitwear I’ll always go for clothes made out of manmade materials and literally this jumper is the softest thing I have bought in a long time! I didn’t want to take it off at the end of the day! You can shop it here on the Urban Outfitters website.
I decided to style the jumper with a really cute pair of checked trousers, also from Urban Outfitters, see here. I tried on a number of different styles in store but opted for these as they definitely fitted the best and I loved the colours. I think they’re a really versatile piece as they can be dressed up and down, which makes them better value for money. Plus Prince of Wales checks are everywhere at the moment so these trousers are right on trend!
I also opted to wear my well loved old school black vans with this outfit as they are the comfiest things ever and and go with everything I wear.
To accessorise I wore my new sunglasses from the company Hashtag Sunglasses. I love the shape and simplicity of these and opted for a black and silver combo so they would work with pretty much any outfit, see here. You can use the code NewShades4You at the checkout to receive 10% off and free express shipping.
I also decided to team this outfit with the most beautiful handmade leather bag I was gifted by the company JJR Bespoke. The service from the owner Jessica was amazing, she was super friendly and willing to make the bespoke changes I asked for when building/designing my chosen bag. I opted for a black leather fabric with stud detailing, a black tassle charm and a detachable strap. I went for the detachable strap as I wanted to be able to wear the bag both for occasions as a clutch and for everyday, like in this outfit post. When the bag arrived I was really impressed- the leather was so soft and the finish on the bag was of a really high quality. Also when I unzipped the bag, there was a really cute patterned lining which I loved! I would definitely recommend checking out and supporting this brand. See their Instagram page here.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my latest outfit post- any comments or feedback would be much appreciated! Also, can we just take a moment to appreciate how pretty this street in Leicester is with the pale pink houses. A girl can dream!
