Designer vs Highstreet? Which would be your preference? If you know me and you’ve read my previous posts, you’ll know that generally I’m a big fan of highstreet fashion. I think that the quality and choice of ranges available to us nowadays is outstanding and being a student, I’m always on the lookout for a bargain. Having said this, like most of us, I do lust after designer items, I mean c’mon what girl doesn’t want a Gucci belt and Alexander Mcqueen trainers?! But we have to live within our means and at this point in time I don’t have the income for large amounts of my wardrobe to be made up of such items. However, there are certain designer items which, for me, are a must have, such as a good purse.

Why you might ask? Well simply because, like mostly everyone else, I use my purse day in day out and I want something which will last. I’ve bought the odd purse over the years from high street retailers and frankly, they just don’t make the cut. In my experience, they generally wear a lot quicker, the quality doesn’t feel as good and I think some can be over expensive for what they are. Plus, for someone like me, who can’t currently afford a mass of designer clothes, a designer purse is a way to indulge in that lifestyle, without bankrupting yourself.

I was recently asked if I would like to collaborate with the retailer Jules B, who stock a large range of designer lines, from Victoria Beckham to Alexander Wang, and of course I jumped at the chance. I thought it would be a great opportunity to introduce the brand for any of you out there that love designer brands and want a site where you can shop them all under one roof. I also took it as an opportunity to choose a new purse to replace my Vivienne Westwood, which has now seen better days (My pen leaked in my bag and went all over it, it wasn’t a pretty sight). Have a browse on their website for an extensive range of your favourite designer names. For those of you that live nearby to Jesmond, Kendal or Warm, they also have stand alone stores nearby.

So, learning from past history (My Vivienne Westwood purse was a lovely cream colour) I opted for this Moschino Love Moschino, quilted black number with gold plating. The quality of it is absolutely gorgeous and it’s so stunning I daren’t use it yet! If your looking for a fab everyday purse, which will go with all of your bags (I mean some people like to match their bag and purse right?!) then this is the one for you. As far as designer purses go, it’s a really reasonable price at £78.99, but if you don’t have that kind of money going spare, then it would make the perfect birthday present or gift! You can shop it on the Jules B website, here.

Whilst browsing the Jules B website, I also came across the amazing range of Kate Spade stationary items and couldn’t help but make a little purchase to treat myself! I opted for this gorgeous rose gold notebook with the slogan ‘Everything’s coming up roses’ and I think it pretty sums up my life at the moment. Although things are pretty hectic (dissertation, can you just be done with already), I’m also having such an amazing time with this blog and the opportunities that are coming my way already are pretty outstanding when you put it into context! I’m so excited to see where things progress in the next 6 months! …and that’s it! I hope you’ve enjoyed this post and for anyone that wasn’t aware of the brand Jules B, you’ve all now found the perfect place to shop for designer clothing, shoes and accessories, under one roof! Finally, I just want to say a big thank you to Jules B for gifting me with this absolute dream of a purse!

Until next time,
